Dr. Bijoya Kumar Behera
Dr. B. K. Behera is working as a professor in the Department of Textile and Fibre Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. His area of specialization includes Fabric manufacturing, 3D weaving, Textile Structural Composites, Mechanics of Textile Structure, and Project Management. His current research interest includes design and manufacturing of textile structural composites, green composites, 3D weaving, weaving of profiled structures, honeycomb weaving, and spacer fabrics. Prof. Behera has authored more than 300 peer-reviewed papers and delivered more than 370 talks in various international conferences and symposia. He has authored and co-authored 16 books relating to Textile Structural Mechanics, Soft Computing in Textiles and Weaving Technology. Prof. Behera has supervised more than 85 Ph.D. and master's theses. He has six patents to his credit. Prof. Behera has successfully completed 28 sponsored research projects and more than 85 industrial consultancy projects as a principal investigator. He has also worked as a visiting professor in Shinshu University, Japan; Technical University of Liberec, Czech Republic; Usak University, Turkey; and University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. He has been an invited speaker in many foreign universities which include Technical University of Liberec, VUTS Research Centre, Czech Republic, Dresden University Germany, Institute of Materials, Hungary, and Promatech Machinery Research Centre, Italy. Prof. Behera is a member of governing council of several reputed textile institutions. He is also a member of Board of Directors of three different textile companies in India.
Dr. Masayuki Takatera
He is professor of Institute for Fiber Engineering (IFES), Interdisciplinary Cluster for Cutting Edge Research (ICCER), Shinshu University, Japan. Concurrently, he is the professor of Faculty of Textile Science and Technology, Shinshu University, Japan. Professor Takatera studied textile engineering at the Faculty of Textile Science and Technology, Shinshu University, graduated 1981, and gained his Eng. Dr. from Shinshu University, 1995. He is a director of The Society of Fiber Science and Technology, Japan, and the former president of the Japan Society of Kansei Engineering. He was awarded the best paper award from the Society of Fiber Science and Technology, Japan (2000), technical award from the Japan Society of Textile Machinery (2001), prize from the Society of Fiber Science and Technology, Japan (2005), technical award from Japan Society of Kansei Engineering (2003, 2009), and Outstanding Paper Award from Emerald Literati Network (2006, 2011). His research interests are structural mechanics of fibers and fiber assemblies (fabrics generally); clothing engineering; Kansei engineering for both apparel and textile field. He is the author of more than 150 peer-reviewed academic papers in national and international journals, several chapters in scientific books, more than 170 international conference proceedings, and several patents.
Dr. Rajesh Mishra
Dr. Rajesh Kumar Mishra works at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, Czech Republic. He has 25 years of academic and research experience in the textile and material engineering. His research areas are textile structural composites, green composites, nanocomposites, biomechanical engineering of fibrous structures, thermo-mechanical characterization of polymeric materials, etc. He has more than 200 publications in international journals and about 300 presentations in international conferences. His teaching and research activities include subjects based on nanotechnology, biomaterials, green composites, structural mechanics of fibrous structures in general, and 3D woven structures, in particular, quality characterization of polymeric materials, engineering of fibrous structures, biomechanics of apparel textiles, etc. He has edited several books, and one of them is about nanotechnology in textiles under Elsevier. He is also the author of several chapters under Springer, Elsevier, and Wiley. He is the co-editor of Textile Progress which is the research-review journal of global importance published by the Textile Institute, Manchester and Taylor & Francis, UK. He is responsible for internationals students' education and research. He has developed educational and research cooperation with many organizations around the globe.
