This book collects recent work presented at the 31st IPMA Congress, which was held in Merida, Mexico, from September 30th to October 2nd, 2019. It covers a range of project, programme and portfolio management contexts, with the general aim of integrating sustainability into project management. The book is divided into five parts. Part I discusses general approaches to sustainability in project management, including regional approaches and factors affecting the early stages of a project. Parts II, III and IV all present sustainable project management in a different context, including education and welfare, clean energy, and smart cities. Part V concludes the book by looking at perspectives and future directions for sustainable project management to take. The book offers a valuable resource for all researchers interested in the emerging research trends in incorporating sustainability in project, programme and portfolio management.
Autorentext
Roxana Cuevas has been a research professor at the Antonio Narro Agrarian Autonomous University since 1977, and is currently ascribed to the Sociology Department. She has pharmaceutical chemistry biologist degree, and a Master's degree in Law and Public Policies for Equality. She is an Official in the Public Administration Social Counsellor for the State of the National Institute of Women, a leader of the movement of women in Mexico, technical secretary in the chamber of deputies, and the general secretary of the Unique Union of Academic Workers of the Antonio Narro Agrarian Autonomous University.
Constanta Nicoleta Bodea is a Professor of Project Management and Management Information Systems at the Department of Economic Informatics and Cybernetics, Bucharest University of Economic Studies, Romania. She has a Ph.D. in Economic Cybernetics and Statistics, on the topic of knowledge management systems for Research, Development and Innovation Management. Starting in 2014, she is also a Senior Researcher at Centre for Industrial and Services Economics, Romanian Academy of Sciences. Her research is focused on knowledge management systems, service innovation and technology-enhanced teaching and learning in project, programme and portfolio management. She has co-authored or edited more than 50 books and book chapters, and has published more than 350 papers in journals and conferences proceedings
Pablo Torres-Lima is an agricultural anthropologist specialist in the area of agricultural systems, peri-urban and rural populations, regional development and sustainable agriculture. He holds a Ph.D. in anthropology, from the University of Florida, 1997, and a master's degree in plant, soil and environmental sciences from the University of Maine, 1994. He is a full-time Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Animal Production (UAM) and has been a Visiting Professor at Brown University (20042010), among other universities in the USA. He has published as author and co-author 16 books, and 80 articles and arbitrated book chapters. Particularly, he has published in Science and has a patent as a Plant Variety Breeder in Mexico. He has been Founder and Director of two scientific research journals. He has been a member of the National System of Researchers (Mexico) since 1990; he is currently a national researcher level II. He was a Fulbright NEXUS Scholar during the period 20142016.
