Das Kingston Trio war eine der berühmtesten und erfolgreichsten Gruppen der Folk Music. Durch ihr Schaffen trugen sie entscheidend zur wachsenden Popularität der Folk Music in den 1950ern bei. Schon während ihrer ersten Jahre bei dem "Capitol Label" wurden sie mit fünf Nr.1 Alben und etlichen Hits in den Single Charts zu den am meisten verkauften Musikern.
