In this original book, Robert Elliott Allinson asserts that philosophers have been lulled into a dogmatic sleep by Immanuel Kant, the slayer of metaphysics, who has convinced them (and the rest of humanity) that we can never know Reality. Robert Elliott Allinson is Professor of Philosophy at Soka University of America, USA. Previously he was Professor/Fellow at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, has been an invited Visiting Fellow at Oxford, Cambridge, and Yale, and is the author or editor of nine books, most recently, A Metaphysics for the Future (2018).
