Dr. Prashant Pingale is B. Pharm. Graduate from R. C. Patel College of Pharmacy, Shirpur and M. Pharm. with distinction from the Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu, India in 2005 and 2007 respectively. He earned his Ph. D. in the year 2014 from NMIMS, Mumbai. He worked at Department of Pharmaceutics, School of Pharmacy and Technology Management, NMIMS Mumbai and Shirpur campus. He has a total experience of about 16 years in teaching and research. He has been bestowed with several honours, a few of them includes Best Teacher Award (2012) from NMIMS, grabbed 2nd prize in oral presentation at APRC Conference at Hanoi, Vietnam. He is recipient of International Travel Grant from Government of India including travel grant from Department of Biotechnology, Indian Council of Medical Research, Department of Science and Technology and Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, New Delhi, India to attend international conferences held at Hanoi (Vietnam), Cape Town (South Africa), Tokyo (Japan) and Granada (Spain) in 2013,2015,2017 and 2018 respectively. He is PG and Ph.D. guide at Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune and actively involved in supervising postgraduate and doctoral research work. His research interests include use of herbal bioenhancers in drug delivery system and novel approach in drug delivery. He has written several textbooks of including Text book on Industrial Pharmacy, Cosmetics and is an editor of book entitled "Drug Delivery Technology: Herbal Bioenhancers in Pharmaceuticals" published by Walter de Gruyter GmbH, Germany. His papers are published in journal like Journal of Controlled Release, Frontiers in Pharmacology, Drug Delivery and Translational Research, Drug Development and Industrial Pharmacy, Journal of Drug Delivery Science and Technology and AAPS PharmSciTech. He is a Life member of several Indian and International Scientific Organizations.
Prof. Sanjula Baboota passed her B. Pharm. and M. Pharm. with distinction from the School of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (Formerly known as Faculty of Pharmacy), Jamia Hamdard in 1993 and 1995 respectively. She bagged gold medal for standing first in the M. Pharm. course. She earned her Ph. D. in the year 2002. She worked at Department of Pharmaceutics, School of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Jamia Hamdard. She has a total experience of about 26 years in teaching and research. She has been bestowed with several honours, a few of them worth mentioning include the research award by AICTE Visvesvaraya Best Teacher Award (2021), University grants commission post-doctoral research award (2004), APTI Young Pharmacy teacher of the year award 2009 by Association of Pharmacy Teachers of India, Dr. P. D. Sethi Research Paper Annual Award Certificate of appreciation for the research paper and several other best paper presentation awards. She has also received certificate of recognition for publication in high impact factor journals and citations from Jamia Hamdard. She received the IPA Delhi state Branch "Best Performance Award" for outstanding contribution 2018. Her research work was selected in Anveshan Research convention 2019 at zonal level by Association of Indian Universities in the project category of health sciences. She featured in the top scientists in 2019 global list across all fields. She was selected for AICTE-UKIERI "Technical Leadership Development Program" for the AY 2019-2020 and was awarded level 5 certificate in management and leadership by Chartered Management Institute, United Kingdom. She has attended various International conferences at Singapore, Malaysia, Vienna United Kingdom and USA. She was also Vice President of APTI Delhi State Branch. She has guest edited thematic issues for Current Pharmaceutical Design, a Bentham journal with an impact factor of 2.412. She is the regional editor of Current Pharmaceutical Design and is on the editorial board of Expert opinion on Drug Delivery, Current Drug Delivery, Pharmpedia, an online pharmacy website, Scientific World Journal and BioMed Research International. She is an associate editor of International Journal of Pharmaceutical Investigation. She is a referee for a number of national and international referred journal of repute. She is on the panel of inspectors of Pharmacy council of India. Dr. Sanjula teaches at undergraduate, post graduate and doctoral levels and has incorporated new concepts in teaching and modernization of the curriculum. Her research has been funded by UGC, AICTE, CCRAS and ICMR. She is actively engaged in supervising post graduate and doctoral research work. Her research interests include improving oral bioavailability of drugs using approaches like complexation, polymeric conjugates, lipid based systems like microemulsions, nanoemulsions, solid lipid nanoparticles and nanostructured lipid carriers. She has guided more than 75 theses at post graduate level and 30 doctoral research works. Her research work has received financial supports from all the leading sponsoring bodies in India. She has written several textbooks and has published more than 300 papers which include original research articles, review articles, proceedings and invited book chapters in edited books in the field of drug delivery. She has also prepared e-content for postgraduate students on subjects like biopharmaceutics and cosmetics. The work has also been presented at various national and international conferences. Prof. Baboota research work has received more than 14000 citations and she is having an h-index of 60 and i10 index of 181 as per Google Scholar data. She has been instrumental in organizing short term training programme and national seminar at her faculty and has received funding from various national bodies for the same. She has been chairman, co-chairman and invited speaker at several conferences, seminars, symposiums and workshops. She is also actively engaged in various committees of the department, faculty and University. She is a member/Life member of several Indian and International scientific organizations.
Prof. Javed Ali passed his B.Pharm. and M.Pharm. with distinction from Jamia Hamdard and bagged gold medals in 1994 and 1996, respectively. He earned a PhD in the year 2000. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology, University of Frankfurt, Germany in 2005. He has a total experience of 26 years in teaching and research. Presently, he is working as a Professor & Head, Department of Pharmaceutics, School of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, and is in-charge of IP Management Cell, Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi. Prof. Ali has been bestowed with several honours; a few of them worth mentioning include the Career Award for Young Teachers by All India Council of Technical Education (2003); APTI-Young Pharmacy Teacher of the year (2004) by Association of Pharmacy Teachers of India; the BOYSCAST Fellowship of Department of Science and Technology, Government of India (2005); American Association of Indian Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAiPS)-IPA Distinguished Educator and Researcher Award 2007 at the Association meeting at San Diego, United States; Research Award 2014 by University Grants Commission, New Delhi; Indian National Science Academy (INSA) Teachers Award 2018 by INSA, New Delhi and National Technical Teachers' Award 2022 by AICTE, New Delhi for his outstanding teaching methodology and research outputs; in addition, several awards for best paper presentations at conferences of Indian Pharmac…
