Some secrets have been around longer than human society and some dance in the shadows just out of sight in the modern world of the 21st century. When Virologist Michael Cline was forced to destroy the dark predator he had no idea that his hunt for its origins would lead him to uncover one of the oldest secrets of modern man. Michael must struggle to make peace with his troubled past and unravel the mysterious virus before the infected get out of control and threaten the city or Portland. A power hungry madman and a couple of paranoid social orders don't want the truth to see the light of day. He must uncover the hidden threads of the past and face the armies of the shadow dancer.
