Hymn to Kali: Karp?r?di-Stotra

This book is Sir John Woodroffe's translation of the Hymn to goddess Kaliwith extensive notes on the Tantric implications of the work. This version of the holy hymn which is attributed to Mahakala Himself was in fact the first English translation from the Sanskrit.

Sir John George Woodroffe (1865 -1936), also known by his pseudonym Arthur Avalon, was a British Orientalist whose extensive and complex published works on the Tantras, and other Hindu traditions, stimulated a wide-ranging interest in Hindu philosophy and yoga.
