John Henry Mackay (1864-1933) war ein deutscher Schriftsteller. Im Jahre 1885 trat Mackay erstmals mit literarischen Werken an die Öffentlichkeit. In Berlin verkehrte er im Umfeld des Friedrichshagener Dichterkreises. Mit Hilfe von Krafft-Ebings Psychopathia sexualis wurde er sich seiner homosexuell-päderastischen Neigung bewusst. Mackay präsentierte seine Konzeption des individualistischen Anarchismus in den "Büchern der Freiheit" (Die Anarchisten, Der Freiheitsucher). Seine unter dem Pseudonym Sagitta veröffentlichten Schriften über die "namenlose" oder "griechische" Liebe, das heißt die Zuneigung erwachsener Männer zu männlichen Adoleszenten, waren im Deutschland der Kaiserzeit und auch noch in der Weimarer Republik nach § 175 StGB strafbar. Seine Arbeiten über den "individualistischen Anarchismus" fanden demgegenüber größere Verbreitung. Aus dem Buch: "Niemals hat mich ein Mensch tiefer erregt als Du!
