Little Leonard can be a bit shy and finds it hard to make his voice heard. This sometimes means he misses out on some of the exciting experiences life has to offer: tasty seed snacks, playing games with the other children at break time, or being the first in the class to answer a question he knows he has the answer to. But when Leonard sees a friend being picked on by a bully in the playground can he find the courage to speak out and save the day?

Speak Out, Leonard! aims to encourage self-awareness, confidence, compassion, and empathy in little ones and to help them understand the importance of using your voice to speak out against injustice.

Auteur

Tamara Anegon attained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2008. Following this, she studied for a masters degree in art, creation and research, specialising in children's and picture book illustration. She has illustrated several children's books: Waggers (Sky Pony Press, 2014) and The Big Stink, Level 11 (OUP Oxford, 2017).
