About the Authors

Gary Owens skyrocketed to national fame as the announcer on NBC's classic Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In. Since then, he appeared on-camera on more than 1,000 network TV shows, voiced more than 3,000 cartoons (including Space Ghost and Dino Boy and The Ren and Stimpy Show), and emceed Emmy and Grammy telecasts. During his prodigious career, he hosted two national radio shows, and he routinely voiced more than 1,000 commercial a year. Gary was inducted into The National Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame (for both radio and television) and the Radio Hall of Fame, and he has a star next to Walt Disney's on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Jeff Lenburg is a prolific, award-winning author and celebrity biographer. He has written 35 books, including autobiographies and biographies of Lorenzo Lamas, Larry Gatlin, Dustin Hoffman, Veronica Lake, Steve Martin, Dudley Moore, the Three Stooges, and others, and two national bestsellers.

After being pushed into the national spotlight as the on-camera announcer on TVs Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In, Gary enjoyed phenomenal success with his voice. Honored as the Top Radio Personality in the United States and Top Radio Personality in the World by Billboard and Radio & Records magazines, he hosted twelve thousand local and national radio shows. He has also starred in more than one thousand network television shows and specials (and was a regular on sixteen series), voiced over three thousand animated cartoons, including Roger Ramjet, Space Ghost and Dino Boy, The Ren and Stimpy Show, and Buzz Lightyear Star Command, and appeared in seventeen motion pictures.

In addition, Gary was a top promo announcer for every major television network.
