The Flint Pyrate Academy is an esteemed boarding school founded by the legendary pirate Captain, Nathaniel Flint, to train future generations of piratical adepts in the ways of plunder, pillaging and general black-hearted marauding. At least, that's the official line. The truth, as always, is a bit more complicated. A fact that Amelia Roberts, daughter of revered pirate, Bartholomew Roberts (aka, "Black Bart") discovers when her father and sisters are lost to the Abyss and she goes off to take up his legacy. Little does she realize what sort of life she's really signed up for. Oh sure, guns, cannons and so forth she can handle. But ghosts? Magick? Daemonic necromancers? Some posthumous family drama? And that's all just on her first day.

She'll quickly learn that in a Pyrate's life there exists only one stable island of truth: "Beware the False God".
