This proceedings volume presents the latest trends in innovative business development theory and practice from a global, interdisciplinary perspective. Auteur
Ramona Ortean is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economic Sciences, Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, Romania. She is the author of several contributions in books, and articles in international and national journals on the financial markets and institutions, financial globalization, global financial architecture, international banking system, monetary policy, and European monetary integration. She is a member of the editorial board of Applied Economics and Finance, Co-Editor of Emerging Issues in the Global Economy: 2017 International Economics Conference in Sibiu (IECS) Springer Proceedings in Business and Economics, and a member of the scientific committee for the International Economic Conference Sibiu (IECS). She has served as a reviewer for various international journals, including Review of Business and Finance Studies, International Journal of Business and Finance Research, Studies in Business and Economics, and Banks and Bank Systems.
Claudia Ogrean is a Professor at the Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, Romania, Faculty of Economic Sciences. Her research interests include strategy and strategic management, international competitiveness, sustainability, business ethics and corporate social responsibility, and she is the author and/or co-author of articles published in various international journals, including Management Decision, Journal of Business Economics and Management, Romanian Journal of Economic Forecasting, and Journal of International Studies. She has taken part in four major international book projects and has attended (with presented papers) numerous academic conferences and workshops, including The 15th Annual Cambridge International Manufacturing Symposium Innovation in global manufacturing (Cambridge, UK), The EIASM Workshop on Organizational Change & Development in Transitional Countries (Vilnius, Lithuania), and The 27th International Scientific Conference on Economic and Social Development (Rome, Italy). She is a member of the Academy of International Business (AIB), European Academy of Management (EURAM), and Academy of Management (AOM). She is Co-Editor in Chief of Studies in Business and Economics, Co-Editor of Emerging Issues in the Global Economy: 2017 International Economics Conference in Sibiu (IECS) Springer Proceedings in Business and Economics, a member of the scientific committee for the International Economic Conference Sibiu (IECS) and the International Conference Contemporary Issues in Theory and Practice of Management (CITPM). She has served as a reviewer for several international journals, including Management Decision, Journal of Global Information Management, Social Responsibility Journal, Baltic Journal of Management, International Journal of Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Corporate Social Responsibility, as well as for conferences such as the AIB Annual Meeting, EURAM Annual Conference, AOM Annual Meeting, and European International Business Academy (EIBA) Annual Conference.
Silvia Cristina Mrginean is an Associate Professor at the Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, Romania, Faculty of Economic Sciences. She obtained her PhD in Economics in 2003. Her research interests include various issues in global economics and European integration, labour markets and competitiveness. She has published over 20 articles in peer-reviewed international and national journals (e.g. Quality and Quantity, Economic Research, Journal of Business, Economics and Management, Studies in Business and Economics, Revista Economica ), as well as 5 books, and a number of conference papers and research projects. As a book editor she has collaborated with international publishers like Springer (Springer Proceedings in Business and Economics, one volume in 2017) and Elsevier (Procedia Economics and Finance, three volumes 2013, 2014, 2015). She has reviewed papers for journals such as Economic Research, Economics and Sociology, Journal of International Studies, Studia Oeconomica, and also for conferences like IECS (International Economic Conference Sibiu), Balkan Region Conference on Engineering and Business Education, and The 7th International Conference European Union Future Perspectives: Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Economic Policy, Croatia.
