N. Subhashini is an Associate Professor in the School of Electronics Engineering, Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai. She has over 16 years of teaching and research experience. She received her B.E degree from the University of Madras and a Master's degree from the College of Engineering, India. She has several research papers published in reputed peer-reviewed journals and conferences. Her research interests include optical metro/access networks, FTTx technologies, Next Generation architectures and services, optical fiber technology, WDM systems, network, and information security.
Morris Ezra received his B.E. degree from Bharathiar University, his M.E. degree from Anna University, and his Ph.D. degree from Multimedia University, Malaysia. He started his career with the Karunya Institute of Technology as a lecturer in 1993 before moving to Malaysia in 1998. Prof. Ezra has over 23 years of experience in the academic field. He has secured national and international research grants worth more than RM 1 million. He is actively involved in supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students. His research areas include digital signal processing, wireless ad-hoc networks, mobile communication, optimization using PSO, and GA/IGA. He has published over 40 papers in international journals, conferences, and co-authored book chapters.
Shien-Kuei Liaw received double Ph.D. degrees from National Chiao-Tung University in photonics engineering and National Taiwan University in mechanical engineering. He joined the faculty of Taiwan Tech (also known as NTUST) in 2000. Currently, Prof. Liaw is Chairman of the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering and Graduate Institute of Electro-Optical Engineering, NTUST. Besides inventing 40 patents, he authored and co-authored more than 280 journal articles and international conference presentations in optical communication, fiber sensing, and optical devices. Prof. Liaw was an academic visitor to the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge in 2011 and 2018, respectively. He gave presentations as a keynote speaker or an invited speaker at many conferences. He also served as a guest editor for several textbooks. Prof. Liaw was President of the Optical Society (OSA), Taiwan Section, and Secretary-General of Taiwan Photonics Society. Prof. Liaw is a senior member of IEEE and OSA.
