Auteur

Clement C. Moore was born in New York City in 1779. A professor and writer, he is best known for this poem, which he wrote for this children in 1822. Originally entitled A VISIT FROM ST. NICHOLAS, the poem soon became better known by its famous first line: 'TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS.
