He holds degrees in sociology as well as in philosophy and has a PhD in social sciences. His areas of interest are phenomenological philosophy and sociological theory. He has authored several books and papers in the field of social phenomenology. He serves as  Associate Editor of the journal Schutzian Research, and as Editorial Board Member of Human Studies.
