Résumé
The upcoming knowledge societies require closer links between science and business. Silicon Valley, Oxbridge and Boston Biotech Centers serve as examples for future success stories with Europe having difficulties in catching up with developments in America. New policy strategies in all European countries should help to overcome existing barriers. This book presents an overview of recent experiences with new strategies and instruments leading to conclusions for future policy reforms.
