[different type] Timothy Keller was born and raised in Pennsylvania, and educated at Bucknell University, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and Westminster Theological Seminary. He moved to Manhattan in 1989 to found Redeemer Presbyterian Church, which has now grown to three distinct congregations and birthed the church-planting Redeemer City to City programme. Keller is the author of numerous bestselling books, including The Reason for God, The Prodigal God and most recently Making Sense of God, and the co-author, with his wife Kathy, of The Meaning of Marriage.
