Prof. Baojiang Sun received his B.E. and M.E degrees in Drilling Engineering from China University of Petroleum (East China) in 1985 and 1991, respectively. Prof. Sun received his Ph.D degree of Fluid Mechanic from Peking University in 1999 and completed his postdoc training in Shengli Oil Field Company SINOPEC in 2003. Prof. Sun was promoted to professor with exceptional promotion in 1999.Prof. Sun is a chair professor in the School of Petroleum Engineering and Director of the Offshore Engineering Research Institute in China University of Petroleum (East China).Prof. Sun focuses on the teaching and research of Oil and Gas Drilling Engineering, Offshore Petroleum Engineering and Multiphase Flow Theory & Application. He has undertaken projects of the Key Research Projects supported by National Natural Science Foundation, National Supporting Plan Issue, National Major Projects of Oil and Gas Field and Projects from CNPC, SINOPEC and CNOOC. Prof. Sun is the Cheung Kong Scholar Chair Professor, Chief Scientist of 973 Project. Prof. Sun served as the Science and Technology Committee Member of Earth and Resource Division of Ministry of Education, Expert of 863 Major Project of Marin Technology in '11th Five-Year' National Plan, Expert of Marine Technology Expert Group of 863 Project in '12th Five-Year' National Plan, Member of Teaching Guiding Committee of Ocean Science and Engineering of Ministry of Education. Prof. Sun is the leader of Innovation Team for Offshore Theory and Engineering of Oil-Gas Drilling and Well Completion of Ministry of Education. Prof. Sun was awarded two Second Prize of National Scientific and Technological, six First Prize of Provincial Scientific and Technological Progress, Shandong Province Outstanding Contribution Expert of the Youth, Qingdao Top-notch Personnel. Prof. Sun has Published over 200 peer-reviewed journal papers.
Prof. Jinsheng Sun received his B.S. in Chemistry from Jiangxi Normal University, Nanchang, China, in 1985, and M.S. in Organic Chemistry from Nankai University, Tianjin, China, in 1988, and Ph.D. in Applied Chemistry from Southwest Petroleum University, Chengdu, in 2006. Since 2009, Dr. Sun was cited as Senior Engineer of drilling Engineering (Professor Level) in China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC). Since 2016, Dr. Sun has been worked in China University of Petroleum (East China) as a Professor. In 2017, Prof. Sun was elected as an academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering.Prof. Sun focuses on the innovation of oil-gas well engineering theory and technology. He has successively undertaken 53 projects in the field of drilling engineering, including major project and key project of NSFC, National 863 Project, National Major Science and Technology Projects. Prof. Sun successfully proposed the theory of chemical film-forming of water-based drilling fluid at the first time and invented a novel chemical film-forming water-based drilling fluid. The invented water-base drilling fluid have a strong temperature resistance ability, up to 240 , and the temperature resistance of the invented foam drilling fluid can have 300 . Moreover, Prof. Sun also illustrated mechanism of wellbore instability and drag reduction for the complex structure well and developed high performance drilling fluid for the complex structure well in the past decades. His achievements have been applied in more than 20 Chinese oilfields, such as Tarim and Daqing, and 12 countries, such as Kenya, which provided significant technical supports for efficiently developing oil and gas resources in deep and complex formations in China and the acquisition of overseas oil & gas resources.Prof. Sun has won 2 National Second Prizes of Science and Technology Progress, 1 National Second Prize of Technological Invention, 1 Prize of Provincial and Ministerial Level Super Prize, 7 First Prizes of Ministerial Level Prize. He has 68 authorized invention patents (including 9 American patents), 5 monographs, and published 153 peer-views academic papers. He was awarded "He Liang He Li" Science and Technology Award (2013), Sun Yueqi "Energy Award" (2014), selected into the National Million Talents Project (2015), awarded National Outstanding Contribution Young and Middle-aged Experts (2015), Shandong Taishan Scholar Advantage Characteristic Discipline Talent Team Leader (2016), and enjoyed the Special Allowance of the State Council (2015).
Dr. Zhiyuan Wang received his B.E. and Ph.D. degrees in Oil and Gas Well Engineering from China University of Petroleum (East China) in 2004 and 2009 respectively. Since 2016, Dr. Wang has been a professor in School of Petroleum Engineering, China University of Petroleum (East China).
Dr. Wang focuses on the research of well control technology, multiphase flow in wellbore, hydrate flow assurance in deep-water wellbore and offshore natural gas hydrate development. Dr. Wang received the Outstanding Youth Foundation from National Natural Science Foundation in 2016. Dr. Wang was also rewarded as Youth Scholar of Yangtze river in the Ministry of Education in 2017 and Leading talents of science and technology innovation in the National "Ten Thousand Talents Plan" in 2019. Dr. Wang was a member of "Offshore Oil-Gas Drilling and Completion Theory and Engineering" Innovation team of the Ministry of Education and served as an academic leader in the field of multiphase flow theory and application in oil-gas well in the team. Dr. Wang has published over 100 peer-viewed technical papers in Chinese and International journals, 4 professional books in Chinese and English, and held 28 Chinese patents, 3 American patents and 12 software copyrights. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineer (SPE) and served as a reviewer of several international journals, and a section chair of 2019 SPE Asia Pacific Oil & Gas Conference and Exhibition.
Dr. Litao Chen received his B.E. and Ph.D. degrees in Chemical Engineering from China University of Petroleum (Beijing) in 2004 and 2011, respectively. Before joining the School of Petroleum Engineering in China University of Petroleum (East China) at 2015, Dr. Chen completed his postdoc training in the Steacie Institute of Molecular Science of National Research Council Canada (2011-2012) and the Center for Hydrate Research of Colorado School of Mines (2012-2015). Dr. Chen was promoted to an Associated Professor in 2016.
Dr. Chen focuses on the research of natural gas hydrate and its application in offshore oil and gas engineering. His recent interest include: phase transition of natural gas hydrate in porous media, low dosage additives for hydrate management in offshore oil & gas drilling and transportation, innovative technologies with clathrate hydrate utilization.
