Based on material discussed at the traditional School on Nonlinear physics in Gorky a cross section of the current status of nonlinear physics in the USSR is given. This third volume emerged from the 1989 School and deals with nonlinear problems in physics and astrophysics, quantum and solid state physics, dynamical chaos and self-organization.
