Growing up in Portland, Maine, Moss Campion would eagerly await the arrival of Halloween all year long, already demonstrating a strong interest in the mystical side of life. Even as he later worked in fields as varied as music, skiing, and journalism, he continued his involvement with spiritual teachings, studying with a number of esteemed teachers and mentors. His many years of employment as a registered nurse also gave him wide exposure to the grittier aspects of life as they are experienced by folks in the ordinary world; and this has greatly informed his philosophical understandings.
