Michael W. Parsons, PhD, ABPP, is a clinical neuropsychologist in the Pappas Neuro-Oncology Center and Department of Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital. His clinical and research activities focus on the cognitive and behavioral consequences of cancer, including brain tumors and non-central nervous system cancers. He is the author of numerous peer reviewed manuscripts and book chapters related to these issues and serves as the copresident of the neuro-oncology special interest group of the International Neuropsychological Society. Dr. Parsons is a diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology and the American Board of Professional Psychology.
Michelle M. Braun, PhD, ABPP, specializes in cognitive health, geriatric neuropsychology, and Alzheimer’s risk reduction, and is passionate about sharing the science of brain health with the public through media, books, public education, and service innovation. Dr. Braun also has a special interest in neuropsychology advocacy. She completed her internship at Yale University School of Medicine, and her postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School/Boston VA after earning her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and minor in Neuroscience from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. She is a former instructor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and assistant director of Inpatient Mental Health at the Boston Veterans’ Administration Hospital. Dr. Braun has been recognized as a Practitioner of the Year by the Alzheimer’s Association, a 2022 Woman of Influence by Success Magazine, a 2022 Distinguished Alumna of Carroll University, and member of the “40 Under 40” class of 2013 by the Milwaukee Business Journal. She has served as an examiner for the American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology since 2015, member of the Board of Directors Scientific and Advisory Panel of the Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Association since 2006, and previous board member of the Wisconsin Psychological Association and the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology, where she chaired the Practice and Public Policy Committee, and co-chaired its Legislative Subcommittee. Her bestselling book, High-Octane Brain: 5 Science-Based Steps to Sharpen Your Memory and Reduce Your Risk of Alzheimer’s, empowers readers to optimize brain health and well-being with an inspiring personalized action plan and tracking system, and received a starred review from Library Journal.
