Prof. Marcos A.S. Barrozo graduated in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ, 1983), MSc in Chem. Engineering from COPPE/UFRJ (1985), Ph.D. in Chem. Engineering from UFSCar (1995) and Postdoc at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Canada. He is Full Professor at Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU). He has experience in Chemical Engineering, acting on the following topics: fluid dynamics of particulate systems, solid-liquid separation, drying, coating, pelleting and flotation. He is CNPq Researcher 1A, Member of the Standing Committee of the Brazilian Congress of Particulate Systems. He was coordinator of the Board of Architecture and Engineering (TEC) of FAPEMIG, Member of the Board of Chemical Engineering at CNPq and coordinator of the Graduate Program in Chemical Engineering of UFU. He has supervised 122 graduate students, 77 MSc students, 45 PhD students, and 14 post-doctoral students. He is the author of 236 papers (3658 citations and H index=39, Scopus).
Dyrney Araújo Dos Santos is an Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering at Federal University of Goiás (UFG), Institute of Chemistry, Brazil, since 2016. He received his bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (2009), MSc in Chemical Engineering (2011), and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering (2015) from the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU), Brazil. In 2020, he received a postdoctoral fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation to conduct research at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU) in Germany. He is a member (alumni) of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and a member of the Brazil Humboldt Club. His research interests include systems involving multiphase fluid-particle flows, e.g., spouted beds, fluidized beds, rotary drums, fluidized bed opposed gas jet mills, etc., through experiments and numerical simulations using the Euler-Euler, and the Euler-Lagrange approaches.
Claudio Roberto Duarte is an Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering at Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU), Chemical Engineering Faculty, Brazil, since 2006. He received his bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (2000), MSc in Chemical Engineering (2002), and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering (2006) from the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU), Brazil. His research interests include systems involving multiphase fluid-particle flows, e.g., granulation, mills, spouted beds, rotary drums, solid and liquid separation, etc., through experiments and numerical simulations using the Euler-Euler, and the Euler-Lagrange approaches.
Suellen Mendonça is an Adjunct Professor at Federal University of Lavras (UFLA), Brazil, since 2018. She graduated in Chemical Engineering (2013), MSc in Chemical Engineering (2014), and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering (2018) from the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU), Brazil. Her research interests include fluid dynamics of particulate systems, e.g., rotary drums with flights, rotary dryers and spouted beds, through experiments and numerical simulations using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Discrete Element Method (DEM).
