This book elucidates the tissue structure and cell composition of the organs of zebrafish at the microscopic, ultrastructural and molecular levels. The distribution of important macromolecular substances is shown and the morphological relationship between different components is analyzed. The book is divided into 15 chapters and contains more than 700 structural photos, all of which are original experimental pictures of the research group. It shows the histological panorama of the whole zebrafish both in cross and longitudinal sections and covers and interprets the tissues and organs of zebrafish in detail, including oropharynx, taste buds, pharyngeal teeth, liver, etc. A brief text description of the structure and function meaning is available for every picture to facilitate the audience understanding the theoretical knowledge more vivid and concrete. In addition, the 3D reconstruction of the main organs of zebrafish is completed by computer-aided technology, and the three-dimensionalmorphology of the organs is displayed in an intuitive form. This book provides a reference for postgraduates and researchers in anatomy, biology, animal medicine, animal science, aquaculture, developmental biology, medicine, and experimental animals.

Auteur
Dr. Jinxing Lin, Professor of Shanghai Laboratory Animal Research Center. She graduated from Zhejiang University in June 2011, majoring in animal genetics, breeding and reproduction. Using zebrafish as the main experimental animal, her research direction involves the standardization of aquatic experimental animals, the development and application of aquatic experimental animal resources, histomorphology, three-dimensional reconstruction of organs, feeding management standards, pathogen quality control and so on. She won the third prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award. At present, she is also the Deputy Secretary-General of the 4th Shanghai Technical Committee of experimental animal standardization and the member of the 4th committee of the aquatic experimental animal Professional Committee of China Society of experimental animals.
Dr. Qiusheng Chen, Professor of Nanjing Agricultural University, Doctoral supervisor. He graduated from Gansu Agricultural University in June 1997, majoring in animal histology and embryology. From September 2003 to October 2004, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the Developmental Biology Laboratory of CNRS. And, from March to September 2011, he worked as a senior visiting scholar at Royal Veterinary College in the UK. For a long time, he has been mainly engaged in the research and teaching of animal histomorphology. He has carried out the research of zebrafish histocytology earlier in China and achieved more scientific research results, which has made great contribution to the application of zebrafish in agriculture, medicine, and drug toxicology in China. He has trained 16 doctors and 28 masters.
Prof. Jianhua Hu, Professor of Shanghai experimental animal research center, Master supervisor. He graduated from the Department of animal husbandry and veterinary medicine at Shanghai Agricultural College in 1983. The research content mainly involves theconservation of experimental animal resources, the quality control of experimental animals and animal welfare, etc., and trained 8 masters.
