Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone is a video game developer, video game designer, artist, composer, and musician best known for being the sole creator and programmer behind the smash hit Stardew Valley. He is hard at work on his next video game, Haunted Chocolatier.
Born and raised in Canton, Ohio, Ryan Novak has been a gamer almost since he learned to walk, having cut his teeth on an Atari 2600 joystick. His writing credits include the Stardew Valley Guidebook and the Hollow Knight Wanderer’s Journal; he has also contributed to many other video game-related books as an editor, producer, or whatever the situation calls for. He still lives in northeast Ohio with his partner, Kari Fry, along with several dozen plush cats (which are far easier and cheaper to take care of than real cats).

Welcome, friends and fans alike!
It’s me, your favorite culinary celebrity, the Queen of Sauce! During my many years as a chef extraordinaire, I’ve nearly done it all. I’ve traveled to the farthest reaches of the world in search of the most exquisite flavors. I’ve mastered the most difficult and mind-bending culinary techniques ever conceived. And, of course, I’ve hosted my very own smash-hit cooking show on television, where I share some of my favorite recipes from my secret cookbook. But that secret cookbook was little more than pages of scribbles in a binder, not a proper cookbook worthy of the Queen of Sauce name!
So, I finally decided it was time to put together a collection of my favorite recipes from throughout the years. In this book, you’ll find some of the most popular recipes ever featured on my weekly show, as well as a selection of viewer favorites from around the world. I’ve divided them roughly by season, taking into account the ingredients needed and the “feeling” each recipe gives me. There’s something for everyone, no matter the season: soups, salads, appetizers, entrées—you name it, it’s in here. I made sure to include a little something for dessert in each section, too, along with a tasty seasonal beverage. That way, you’ll have plenty of options for weekday meals, family gatherings, parties, or any other special occasion.
If you’ve been content simply to watch me prepare all these delightful dishes up until now, then I think it’s finally time for you to get your hands dirty.
