Balsing Khandusing Kamal Rajput M Tech, Ph.D. is a serving police officer in Maharashtra state police, speaker and researcher. He has strategic and technical expertise in the field of cybersecurity. He has first-hand experience of building 51 cyber labs and 43 cyber police stations for cybercrime investigation in Maharashtra State. He has led the implementation of the Automatic Multimodal Biometric Identification System project. He is a key member of the team of Maharashtra Cyber Security Project. for development of integrated cybersecurity environment for the state through Maharashtra Computer Emergency Response Team, Predictive Policing Solution and setting up of Center of Excellence in Cybersecurity.
He was the part of the cybersecurity delegation of India to Israel in 2016 and Estonia in 2019. He is the team lead of Maharashtra Cyber Digital Crime Unit to develop the anti-piracy solutions which won the "IP Champions Award "of the USA Chamber of Commerce. He is a CheveningCyber Security Fellow 2017 of UK and International Visiting leadership Program Fellow of the USA for Cyber Security in 2019.
He has worked in the economic offenses wing of Mumbai police and investigated many sensitive cases. He has experience leading teams in large and complex police security arrangements for big events. He has experience of working in Anti Extremist/ Naxal Operations. He has worked in communal riot sensitive areas and stabilized communal harmony with his citizen-friendly community policing initiatives. As a police officer, he has expertise and experience to maintain law and order; ensure prevention and detection of crime, and investigate and supervise serious cybercrimes and economic offenses. He was a state nodal officer for the social media analysis unit of the election commission for Maharashtra state for assembly and parliamentary elections in 2019. He has led the capacity building efforts for cybersecurity and cybercrime investigation for Maharashtra police though long-term training programs. He is working on prevention online exploitation children and women in cyberspace through initiatives like Operation Blackface and Cyber Safe Woman campaign.
