Ms. Rich, her husband, Brian, and their daughter, Sophie, live in Wisconsin with their dog, Sweet Pea, and three Guinea pigs. As a family, they enjoy riding ATVs and snowmobiles, traveling and exploring. This is Ms. Rich's first children's book.

Growing up means learning new things and being exposed to unfamiliar experiences. Children have many questions and maybe a little hesitation when going into a situation that they haven't been in before. Heidi Rich hopes to provide answers and encouragement through Super Sophie, a non-traditional superhero who can not only fly but offers advice and a gentle nudge to kids who may be nervous or anxious in everyday situations.
