Mia tells Miss Ernestine about the beautiful colours of the rain, the feeling of walking on the sand when it pours. And then, out of the blue, it suddenly starts to rain and it looks like silver strings! Birgit Unterholzner studierte Germanistik, Geografie und Medienkunde an der Universität Innsbruck. Sie absolvierte mehrjährige Ausbildungen in den Bereichen Theaterpädagogik, Forumtheater und Hatha-Yoga. Bildungsreisen nach Asien, Afrika und Nordamerika. Heute lebt sie als Schriftstellerin und Mittelschullehrerin in Bozen. Im Picus Verlag erschienen ihre Bilderbücher »Auf meinem Rücken wächst ein Garten« (2016, illustriert von Leonora Leitl) sowie »Vielleicht warst du ein Flügelschlag« (2018, illustriert von Clara Frühwirth). Im Sommer 2019 erscheint »Weißt du, wo es Katzen und Hunde regnet?« (illustriert von Clara Frühwirth).
